I was so pleased, a couple of years ago, to 'find' my cousin Letty (Florence) via Tracey's Facebook page and the Aston Birmingham 6 Group.  I really regret that, because of recent events, it was not going to be possible to meet for some time and now, sadly, we have lost that chance.

My mother, Alice Tattam, Letty's Aunt, had lost touch many years ago and often talked about Letty.  Letty spent a lot of time at her Granny Smith's house as a child, as she lived nearby, and she was a great favourite with Alice.  One of Alice's fondest stories was an amusing one.  'Young' Letty, as she was called, had watched Alice getting ready to go out to a dance.  Alice had a new dress with a V neck and V back.  Letty went home and told her family that "Auntie Alice has got a beautiful new dress.  It's got no back and no front, just sides".

I'm sorry that I never met this wonderful lady again, I only remember her as a (to me) grown up young woman, but I have felt that I have come to know her through her family. Bless you all
